We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at 2649476 Ontario Inc. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as supervising kitchen staff and maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, including special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef.
- Supervision: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that all necessary items are available and in good condition.
- Cleanliness: Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all staff and customers.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Work Setting: Restaurant.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail in all aspects of food preparation and kitchen management.
- Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
- Physical Demands: Physically demanding role, requiring standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 30 to 35 hours per week.
