Job Summary

As a Process Engineer Co-op at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will assist with technical data analysis for the Process Engineering Specialist, focusing on development, deviation, and annual reports to meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire and apply practical and technical knowledge of manufacturing processes related to pharmaceutical dosage forms.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot manufacturing processes, completing tasks related to data analysis and problem-solving.
  • Assist in investigations through data compilation and statistical analysis to determine root causes of atypical events.
  • Support the compilation and analysis of process data, presenting results and preparing reports.
  • Contribute to process improvement projects and prepare technical reports.
  • Participate in change management activities and use SAP enterprise software to source information and navigate business operations.
  • Support the Technical Operations department with process executions and perform alternating or rotating shifts as required.
Requirements
  • Enrolled in a post-secondary diploma in Chemistry, Engineering, Science, or a related field.
  • Working towards a BSc in Chemistry or Engineering.
  • Previous experience with Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and SAP enterprise software is an asset.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices and the ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures.
Standards and Expectations
  • Follow all Environmental Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow team members, modeling positive team principles and partnering to meet project and departmental objectives.
  • Carry out all duties within strict compliance to Thermo Fisher Scientific quality systems SOP's and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace and actively engage in and adhere to departmental systems.
  • Be client and patient conscious at all times and understand Key Performance Indicators.
Physical Requirements

The position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about manufacturing/office locations, with the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time.
