About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Human Resources Business Partner to join our team at Payworks. As a strategic partner to our leadership team, you will play a key role in driving forward organizational objectives and fostering an engaged workforce and culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement people and culture strategies that support Payworks' strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with key leaders on the execution of complex people and culture plans and initiatives, including organizational design, employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning.
  • Provide guidance to resolve conflicts, disciplinary issues, and conduct workplace investigations, serving as a trusted advisor to business leaders and employees.
  • Drive and support organizational and departmental human resources initiatives, including health and wellness strategies and plans.
  • Oversee Leave of Absence programs and take an active role in supporting leaders and employees on effective return to work plans.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CPHR/CHRP Candidate designation or a strong desire to obtain the CPHR certification is preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience in an advisory capacity within a multi-department organization.
  • Bilingual in French and English would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of functional human resources disciplines, including talent acquisition, learning and development, HR planning, performance management, and compensation and benefits.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to create and deliver presentations, facilitate discussions, and draft policies or documents.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, and decision-making abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of Canadian employment laws and regulations.
  • Proven project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to drive positive HR outcomes.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and integrity.
