Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Consultant to join our team at WRHA Corporate. The successful candidate will provide expert human resources management services and advice to internal clients and stakeholders to support strategy, planning, and operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership advice to assigned client groups in all areas of an effective and efficient human resources program, including labour and employee relations, recruitment and succession planning, employee development, performance management, employee engagement and recognition, human resources information management, productivity metrics, and regulatory and standards compliance.
  • Assume conduct for, or assist with, the process of employee investigations related to respectful workplace, privacy, and other potential breaches of policy.
  • Develop and implement human resources strategies and solutions to support business objectives and improve employee engagement and productivity.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders to identify and address human resources-related issues and opportunities.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • 5 years of progressive experience providing generalist human resources management support to management in a unionized environment, preferably in a large multi-enterprise and/or public sector organization.
  • Experience working in the health sector is an asset.
  • Undergraduate degree in human resources, or in a relevant discipline combined with a post-graduate certificate in human resources management from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • Chartered Professional Human Resources designation with current membership in good standing or equivalent is preferred.
  • Certifications in project management, human resources, change management, and quality processes are assets.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work safely in a typical computerized office environment with frequent meetings, and to lift and carry items of up to approximately 10 kg. Interruptions to respond to questions from executives, and partner organizations are common requiring managing multiple priorities and competing demands; dedicated and focused time for planning and concentration can be scheduled.
