About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Human Resources team and contribute to the development of our people and culture. As a strategic partner to our leadership team, you'll provide advice and counsel on all aspects of human resources, including talent management, workforce planning, performance management, and employee relations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Build Strategic Relationships – Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement people and culture strategies that support Payworks' strategic initiatives.
  2. Analyze and Empathize – Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and employees on employee relations matters, providing guidance to resolve conflicts and disciplinary issues.
  3. Influence and Innovate – Facilitate discussions around change and transformation, identifying when change management will be needed and developing plans to ensure inclusivity and belonging.

Requirements
  1. Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. CPHR/CHRP Candidate designation or a strong desire to obtain the CPHR certification.
  3. 5+ years of progressive HR experience in an advisory capacity within a multi-department organization.
  4. Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create and deliver presentations and facilitate discussions.
  6. Strong critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, and decision-making abilities.
  7. In-depth knowledge of Canadian employment laws and regulations.
  8. Proven project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  9. Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  10. Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and integrity.
