Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team at Hampton Inn & Homewood Suites Halifax. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel and resort.

Responsibilities
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and other refuse
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings
  • Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance
  • Perform safety and security checks
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting and drywall repair
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Dependability, flexibility, judgement, organized, and reliability
Work Environment

Our hotel and resort offer a dynamic work environment with a variety of tasks and responsibilities. As a Maintenance Worker, you will be working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
