Job Summary

Kaayu Technologies is seeking a skilled Renewal Project Coordinator to assume responsibility for major renovation projects. This role requires strong project management skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively with professionals.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that involves coordinating all stages of the project, from needs analysis to completion, while ensuring compliance with deadlines and budgets. The successful candidate will have experience in renovation project management or construction and possess excellent organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination: Participate in the analysis, prioritization, and development of projects according to the findings of disorders and needs for all assigned buildings.
  • Budgeting: Ensure the availability of budgets by synthesizing technical needs and challenges, estimating costs, and preparing presentation files for special projects.
  • Site Management: Manage construction sites in collaboration with professionals, ensuring the quality of renovation, enhancement, disaster rehabilitation, home adaptation, and building standards.
  • Tender Process: Orchestrate public calls for tender, by invitation and by mutual agreement, to retain various services necessary for the development and implementation of projects.
  • Service Analysis: Analyze service offers, bids, and payment requests and make recommendations to the organization.
  • Quality Control: Verify the compliance and quality of services (contracts, plans, specifications, expert reports, construction start-up and completion documents, budgets, schedules, guarantees, etc.).
  • Coordination: Work closely with organizations to ensure solid coordination with occupants and project stakeholders.
  • Site Visits: Conduct site visits and issue visit reports as needed.
  • Minor Works: Draft summary quotes and site supervision for minor works.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or any specialization related to the building sector, or college diploma in architecture with more general knowledge in all technical disciplines related to building.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in renovation project management or construction, or 4 years of experience in a related field.
  • Languages: Good command of the English language (oral and written).
  • Skills: Excellent understanding of building standards and legal requirements, good technical understanding of construction principles, sense of initiative, and ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Assets: Knowledge of the regulations and laws of contract management in the public sector, possession of an ASP card Construction, knowledge of BSI.net software.

What We Offer

  • Salary: Competitive hourly wage between $31.07 and $34.72 per hour.
  • Benefits: Group insurance, group RRSPs (employee and employer contribution combined up to 18% maximum), 3 weeks of vacation after 1 year of service, 10 sick days and family obligations after 1 year of service.
  • Working Conditions: 35 hours per week from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., or according to project needs after agreement of the immediate superior, telework according to the policy in force.
