Senior Investment Management Leader

Job Summary:
This role is responsible for leading a team of Investment Management professionals, responsible for asset accumulation, preservation, and revenue growth, while delivering a differentiated HNW planning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and execute an annual branch business plan and review individual business plans from each Investment Advisor.
- Plan and document marketing and business development activities, review and communicate results, and adjust plans accordingly.
- Manage the branch budget/expenditures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
SHAREHOLDER:
Work closely with key business leaders to develop a business plan, ensuring the optimal use of resources and leverage TD's operating model to maximize efficiency, effectiveness, and scale.
Plan and execute business development activities, review and communicate results, and adjust tactics accordingly.
Execute on the annual business plan to deliver results aligned with business strategies.
Manage overall budget, revenue, and expenditures, meet business objectives while increasing efficiency and effectiveness.
Proactively identify key business opportunities, research and recommend enhancements/modifications, develop strategies to achieve recommendations and work closely with the team to execute and implement.
Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high-risk transactions/activities as necessary.
Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts.
Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite.
EMPLOYEE TEAM:
Lead a highly qualified and collaborative team of Investment Management professionals.
Contribute to the development of business segment and/or enterprise functional strategic priorities within their operational area or field of specialty.
Develop annual and/or long-term plans for own area and influence plans well beyond area managed.
Responsible for management of the overall team providing both leadership and guidance.
Grow team expertise to align with business/enterprise demand and direction; provide ongoing feedback and performance reviews, coach and develop employees and ensure performance management activities are undertaken and provide regular input into employee assessments and development plans.
Lead the process of setting performance objectives for the team; track, monitor, and effectively address and/or reward performance in a timely manner.
Manage employees in compliance with all human resources policies, procedures, and guidelines of conduct.
Support an environment where the team freely escalates business challenges.
Recruit for all hires to ensure a highly diverse, qualified workforce to achieve business objectives.
Act as a brand ambassador for the business area/function and the bank, both internally and/or externally.
BREADTH & DEPTH:
Oversee and lead a large and/or highly complex and diverse reporting function for an area of significant risk, complexity, or scope while growing talent, developing skills and capabilities to achieve career goals, support project/initiative success and achieve business results.
Provide coaching, mentorship, and guidance to practitioners, business, executives within area of expertise.
Manage and oversee the overall discipline and strategy for the respective areas while aligning to the enterprise best practices.

Strategic partner to leadership team on the management of the portfolio and financials, with deep industry, external/internal, enterprise knowledge, recognizing and anticipating emerging trends and identifying operational efficiencies and opportunities with other business management/enterprise areas.
Facilitate key strategic discussions and provide thought leadership to executive audience (output may include strategic roadmap and/or deliverables/frameworks/short to long-term goals etc.).
Set operational team direction and collaborate with others to execute on common goals.
Focus on longer-range planning for functional area.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
Undergraduate university degree.
Life Insurance license (LLQP).
