We are passionate about creating a unique and fresh food shopping experience, and we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Order Picker.

Job Summary

The Order Picker is responsible for accurately picking orders using a scanner system and providing training to new employees on the scanning system. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that orders are accurately assembled and delivered to our customers in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Order Picking
    • Accurately pick orders using a scanner system
    • Provide training to new employees on the scanning system
  • Customer Service
    • Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers
  • Inventory Management
    • Perform daily inventory counts by warehouse break
  • Order Assembly
    • Accurately assemble orders for delivery
    • Ensure that orders have proper documentation and are stacked in proper order
  • Warehouse Maintenance
    • Maintain receiving equipment, receiving area, cooler and storage facilities in a safe, clean and organized fashion
  • Housekeeping
    • Dispose of collected garbage immediately
    • Keep the work and storage areas clean and safe at all times

Requirements

  • Warehouse Experience
    • Warehouse experience considered an asset
  • Technical Skills
    • Experience operating scanners and motorized equipment including Ride on pallet jacks, Walkie equipment and Order pickers
  • Soft Skills
    • Ability to work from directives with little supervision
    • Good physical fitness
    • Superior standards of cleanliness
    • Must be flexible in regards to availability and scheduling
    • Superior time management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail
    • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills

Work Environment

  • Unavoidable exposure to dangerous or unpleasant environmental elements such as noise, dirt, dust, vibration and extreme temperatures
  • Providing service to several people or departments, working under many simultaneous deadlines
  • May be required to wear cumbersome protective clothing or equipment
  • Required to lift, carry or handle heavy objects
