About the Role

Adecco Canada is seeking a highly skilled Inventory Manager to join our team on a temporary, full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading client in Ottawa, ON.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving and Storing Materials
    • Validate information between packing slips and items received, including part numbers and quantities.
    • Communicate any discrepancies with the Buyer.
    • Store packing slips for future reference.
  • Unpacking and Storing of Materials
    • Break down product received to minimize storage space while ensuring items are protected from damage.
    • Implement FIFO material storage when applicable.
    • Label items for storage.
    • Conduct transactions in the inventory system in parallel with stocking material in the warehouse.
  • Inventory Accuracy and Cycle Counting
    • Meticulously manage inventory to ensure physical and transaction quantities are accurate.
    • Use weight counting methods and equipment when necessary.
    • Perform cycle counts to validate accuracy of data in the system.
    • Root cause analysis of cycle count discrepancies.
    • Suggest and implement corrective actions to address inventory inaccuracies.
    • Make adjustments in the inventory system to correct inaccuracies and add notes for future reference.
  • Kitting of Materials
    • Generate kitting labels from Excel spreadsheets in support of material pulls.
    • Remove specified material by required quantities in support of kitting requests.
    • System transactions to extract material from stock and capture customer receipt.
    • Packing and labeling of material for consumption by users or shipment to other facilities.
  • Other Activities
    • Manage material removal and restocking in support of material rework activities.
    • Purge and quarantine discrepant material, including associated inventory transactions.
    • Manage material for sale to contract manufacturers or scrap for recycling after project completion.
    • Movement and consolidation of material in the warehouse to recover space for new projects.
    Requirements and Qualifications
    • Eligibility to work and reside within Canada.
    • Expertise in validating, storing, and managing inventory with accuracy through cycle counts and system transactions.
    • Ability to meticulously manage inventory, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
    • Proficiency in unpacking, labeling, and applying FIFO storage principles, with knowledge of ESD handling procedures.
    • Experience in generating labels, supporting kitting requests, and handling packing and shipping processes.
    • Understanding of TL 9000 Quality Management System standards and best practices for handling and storing materials.
