Job Title: Kitchen Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team at THE FT. ST. JAMES SKI CLUB. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring that our food and service meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Hire and manage food service staff to meet the needs of our guests.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards by conducting regular quality checks and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory management and budgeting decisions.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of our establishment's culinary genres to provide expert recommendations to guests.
  • Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and efficient kitchen operations.
  • Ensure that all staff members have the necessary food safety and handling skills to prevent contamination and foodborne illness.
Requirements:
  • Food Safety Certificate.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is an asset.
  • Availability for shift or on-call work.
  • Availability for the advertised start date.
  • Legal ability to work in Canada.
  • Willingness to relocate for this position.
  • Residency in proximity to the advertised location.
