Director of Reliability and Quality Assurance
Vention Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Reliability and Quality Assurance to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and reliability in our products and services.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Quality and Reliability Strategies
- Develop and implement a comprehensive quality and reliability strategy that aligns with the company's product development effort and general quality improvement initiatives.
- Lead and Manage a Team of Reliability Engineers and Quality Assurance Professionals
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of reliability engineers and quality assurance professionals to ensure the highest level of quality and reliability in our products and services.
- Act as the Main Reliability and Quality Stakeholder in Design Review
- Act as the main reliability and quality stakeholder in design review as part of Vention's product development process, and approve/disapprove progress to the next gate.
- Review and Approve Reliability and Functional Test Plans
- Review and approve reliability and functional test plans as part of Vention's product development process.
- Manage the Engineering Laboratory and Test Equipment
- Manage the engineering laboratory, maintain test equipment, and develop standardized test protocols across Vention's portfolio of products.
- Develop Internal Capabilities and Drive New Product Certification
- Develop internal capabilities, including MTBF modeling, accelerated life test protocol, etc.
- Drive all new product certification, working with 3rd party agencies.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis and Drive the Product Quality and Reliability Feedback Loop
- Lead root cause analysis for various client support situations.
- Drive the product quality and reliability feedback loop, working closely with clients, customer success team, and delivery team.
- Work with Global Suppliers to Ensure Compliance with Vention Quality Requirements
- Work with global supplier base to ensure compliance with Vention quality requirements.
- Develop and Document Vention's Reliability and Quality Practices and Protocols
- Develop and document Vention's reliability and quality practices & protocols.
- Execute Reliability and Validation Tests as Needed
- Execute reliability and validation tests as needed by ongoing product development program.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders to Define and Prioritize Reliability and Quality Focus Areas
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize reliability and quality focus areas.
- Education and Experience
- Degree in engineering with relevant experience in reliability engineering.
- Technical Skills
- 5+ years experience in printed circuit boards design for industrial-grade products.
- 10+ years experience in electronics reliability in the context of industrial products.
- Strong knowledge of certification processes for electrical products (i.e., UL, CSA, CE, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles, including FMEA, root cause analysis, MTBF and L10 calculation, and reliability growth testing methods.
- Leadership and Communication Skills
- Proven leadership skills, with experience building and managing teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across all levels of the organization.
