Job Description

Vention Inc is seeking a highly skilled Director, Quality and Reliability to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and reliability in our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Quality Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive quality strategy that aligns with our company's product development efforts and general quality improvement initiatives.
  • Lead Quality Team: Manage and mentor a team of quality assurance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of our quality initiatives.
  • Quality Review and Approval: Act as the main quality stakeholder in design review, approving or disapproving progress to the next gate.
  • Test Plan Review and Approval: Review and approve reliability and functional test plans as part of our product development process.
  • Lab Management: Manage the engineering laboratory, maintain test equipment, and develop standardized test protocols across our portfolio of products.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Lead root cause analysis for various client support situations.
  • Quality Feedback Loop: Drive the product quality and reliability feedback loop, working closely with clients, customer success team, and delivery team.
  • Supplier Quality Management: Work with our global supplier base to ensure compliance with our quality requirements.
  • Quality Practices and Protocols: Develop and document our reliability and quality practices and protocols.
  • Reliability and Validation Testing: Execute reliability and validation tests as needed by our ongoing product development program.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize reliability and quality focus areas.
Requirements
  • 5+ years experience in printed circuit boards design for industrial-grade products.
  • 10+ years experience in electronics reliability in the context of industrial products.
  • Strong knowledge of certification processes for electrical products.
  • Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles, including FMEA, root cause analysis, MTBF and L10 calculation, and reliability growth testing methods.
  • Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt and build processes from the ground up.
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience building and managing teams.
