Adjunct Professor of Health Sciences

Job Summary

We are seeking an Adjunct Professor of Health Sciences to teach courses at Ontario Tech University. The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellent teaching contributions and a proven ability to work in a collaborative environment.

About the Role

The Sessional Lecturer will be responsible for delivering courses within the parameters of the course description, using a technology-enhanced learning approach that includes inclusive teaching and learning strategies and assessments. The lecturer will prepare, deliver, and grade all course material and assignments, as well as be available for consultation with students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate/graduate level courses in Health Sciences
  • Develop and implement innovative and inclusive teaching strategies
  • Maintain effective relationships with faculty, staff, and students
  • Manage large classes and diverse populations
  • Coordinate and supervise Teaching Assistants as applicable
Requirements

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant area of Health Sciences, with a PhD preferred. Membership in good standing as a Registered Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of Ontario is also required. Experience in teaching excellence in Health Sciences in a post-secondary environment is an asset.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
