Job Description

Société Financière Manuvie is seeking a Data Governance Strategist to lead our Global Database Practices and Operations Team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of technical leadership experience, in-depth knowledge of database management systems, and expertise in data protection regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement database management strategies tailored to regional teams
  • Define and enforce database standards, policies, and procedures for data integrity and security
  • Drive initiatives to ensure compliance with data protection regulations and standards
  • Monitor and analyze database performance metrics, implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability
Requirements
  • 10+ years of technical leadership experience in managing regionally diverse technical and delivery teams
  • In-depth knowledge of database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and NoSQL databases
  • Expertise in database migration from on-premises to cloud environments
  • Strong understanding of data protection regulations, processes for data security, and robust data governance principles

Compensation

$124,450 CAD - $185,490 CAD per year
