Cloud Data Strategist Role

We are seeking a skilled Technical Product Manager to lead our cloud data and data governance platforms, practices, and activities ensuring their efficiency, scalability, and adherence to industry best practices.

As a Cloud Data Strategist, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define product roadmaps, prioritize features, and drive the successful delivery of high-quality data management solutions.

  • Develop and refine the platform technical roadmap based on Product Owner capabilities roadmap, stakeholder feedback, and platform evolution.
  • Lead / collaborate with engineering teams to translate product requirements into actionable user stories and technical specifications.
  • Prioritize feature development based on strategic objectives, customer needs, technical feasibility, and business value.
  • Drive the Agile development process by conducting sprint planning sessions, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure intuitive user experiences that meet customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to identify opportunities for leveraging data analytics to enhance platform functionality.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay up-to-date with industry trends and identify potential areas of improvement.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of platform features and drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of new features or enhancements within the existing ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in technical product management roles with a focus on cloud-based data management platforms.
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure technologies (e.g., Azure, IBM CP4D) and their associated services (e.g., S3, Redshift).
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data quality management principles, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR).
  • Experience in Databricks, MS Power Platform and Python is an asset.
  • Proficiency in agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Scaled Agile Framework) and tools such as JIRA or Trello.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering principles with the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
