Senior HR Generalist: Labor Relations Expert
Job Summary:
Humans of HR is a boutique recruitment agency seeking an experienced Senior HR Generalist to lead core HR functions with a strong focus on labor relations and union engagement. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of employment law, collective bargaining experience, and a well-rounded background in HR operations and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage labor relations initiatives, including union negotiations, collective bargaining agreements, and addressing complex labor issues.
- Provide HR support and guidance, coaching managers, and supporting employee engagement across all levels.
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Cultivate strong partnerships with site leaders and team members to promote a positive workplace, drive engagement, and resolve conflicts.
- Drive recruitment efforts, work closely with hiring managers, and ensure smooth onboarding for new team members.
- Oversee HR policies, ensuring compliance with employment laws and alignment with organizational values.
- Administer a competitive compensation and benefits program, including benefits administration and employee retention strategies.
- Continuously improve HR initiatives in areas such as talent development, employee engagement, and professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in HR, with a minimum of 2 years in labor relations and union engagement.
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment law, collective bargaining experience, and a well-rounded background in HR operations and compliance.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships and lead across all levels of the organization.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with HR software.
