Job Summary

This role involves working with senior leaders to create strategic workforce plans, succession plans, and talent management strategies. The HR Business Partner will be responsible for implementing HR strategies, processes, and programs that align with business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to develop and implement strategic workforce plans, succession plans, and talent management strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Global Centers of Excellence to implement HR strategies, processes, and programs that align with business priorities.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Finning's business to effectively support business leaders.
  • Ensure compliance and provide guidance related to regulatory requirements.
  • Coach and advise managers on labor relations, employee relations, and HR matters.
  • Facilitate investigations, progressive discipline, and employee termination.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in human resources management, labour relations management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional-level human resource generalist experience, working and collaborating with business leaders in a consultative capacity.
  • Previous experience working with HRIS systems and knowledge of Workday is an asset.
  • HR designation (CPHR) or significant progress towards completion is considered an asset.
  • Experience working within a unionized heavy industrial environment is preferred.
