Strategic Academic Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our Continuing and Professional Learning department as a Strategic Academic Leader. This is a hybrid position that requires on-site presence at least 3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement cutting-edge professional learning and corporate training programs that meet the needs of learners, employers, and community partners.
- Provide academic leadership and management to part-time instructors, coordinators, and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Oversee the planning, development, delivery, and evaluation of all continuing and professional learning academic programming, including workshops, seminars, and corporate training.
- Establish a curriculum and programming strategy that builds upon existing programming and delivers a future-focused orientation towards new programming.
- Ensure effective recruitment, hiring, and use of human resources, as well as physical, and financial resources that contribute to revenue generation.
- Develop and implement unique systems for the portfolio, including student success, enrolment, prospecting, retention, and budgets.
- Collaborate with colleagues in marketing, communications, office of the registrar, information technologies, and academic departments to harmonize programming and align marketing and enrolment strategies.
- MBA, MEd, MSC or other Master's level as related to program cluster is preferred.
- ~7 years of experience related to education, training, and/or professional development.
- ~ Knowledge of the post-secondary and corporate training market as well as adult education.
- ~ Teaching and learning for adults or working professionals.
- ~ Business administration and management.
The Office of the Provost and VPA - Continuing and Professional Learning department is responsible for developing and delivering continuing and professional learning programs that meet the needs of learners, employers, and community partners.
