About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Building Operator to join our team at E.S. Fox Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our building systems, equipment, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and monitor the functioning of building systems, including fire and security systems, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform daily inspections of facilities and ensure the building envelope and exterior are free of defects.
  • Ensure repairs to buildings are addressed and completed promptly.
  • Document system conditions and report abnormal conditions to the General Manager or Technical Services.
  • Monitor and supervise subcontracted work related to building systems and facilities.
  • Perform routine maintenance duties and coordinate major repairs with other Company Service staff and subcontractors.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and inspection tasks as required.
  • Compile and maintain documentation relevant to completed work.
  • Work collaboratively with technical services staff and subcontractors to evaluate system effectiveness and make continuous improvements.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Post-secondary diploma in facilities/operations management or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with the Landlord Tenant Act.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints/schematics.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in operations, maintenance, and repair of complex building systems.
  • Experience with computerized Building Management Systems to operate building equipment.
  • Superior problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and instill trust and confidence.
