Job Summary

Mirch Masala Restaurant Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our restaurant operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food and service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of 3-4 staff members who prepare and portion food.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Food Quality and Control
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize inventory.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Develop and maintain effective communication with staff, management, and customers to ensure seamless service delivery.
    • Collaborate with the team to achieve business objectives and improve overall performance.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Client focus and efficient interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with customers and staff.
    • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing business needs.
    • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Working Conditions
  • 40 hours per week in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • English as the primary language of communication.
