About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Host to join our team at Marilena Cafe and Raw Bar. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a warm and welcoming greeting to all guests, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize service periods.
- Maintain a clean and organized restaurant environment, ensuring efficient guest flow and maximizing seating capacity.
- Escort guests to their tables, engage them in conversation, and seat them accordingly.
- Recognize and acknowledge repeat guests, providing personalized service.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, table numbers, and server sections.
- Communicate effectively with guests and staff members, providing a strong level of service.
- Support service staff as needed, ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Anticipate guest needs, providing direct assistance where possible.
Requirements:
- 2+ years' experience in a similar high-volume fine dining role.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Positive, energetic, and enthusiastic outlook and personality.
- Professional presentation.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Well-organized and strong time management skills.
- Proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
- Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time.
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
