Job Summary

We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented cook to prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods for our customers. If you have a passion for cooking and a commitment to excellence, we want to hear from you

Key Responsibilities
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to ensure a well-stocked kitchen
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet customer demands
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to optimize kitchen efficiency
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, requiring attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Stand for extended periods, with occasional lifting and bending
  • Work overtime as needed to meet customer demands and kitchen needs
Experience and Education
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a kitchen environment
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Support for Newcomers and Refugees
  • Participate in mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees
  • Contribute to diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment
Support for Youths and Indigenous People
  • Participate in mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth and Indigenous workers
