Job Title: CookWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at The Chef Mom. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Requisition food and kitchen supplies
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
- Attention to detail
- Fast-paced environment
- Overtime required
- Physically demanding
- Standing for extended periods
- Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees
- Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees
- Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth
- Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
We offer a permanent work term with 30 to 35 hours of work per week. The work language is English.
