Position Overview:

As a Hematology and Medical Oncology Specialist, you will be an integral part of a comprehensive healthcare team dedicated to providing exceptional cancer care. This role involves delivering a full spectrum of oncology services, including Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Palliative Care, and Clinical Trials, alongside essential support services such as Nutrition and Patient and Family Counseling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your expertise to deliver high-quality cancer treatment and care.
  • Engage in clinical practice while contributing to the advancement of oncology through research and education.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient support.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess or be in the process of obtaining Fellowship standing in the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine, along with a certificate of Special Competence in Medical Oncology. Eligibility for licensing with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia is required, along with meeting the credentialing standards set by the Professional Advisory Committee of BC Cancer.

Furthermore, candidates should be eligible for a clinical appointment in the Division of Medical Oncology within the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia. A valid license to practice medicine in Canada is essential for application.
