Job Title: Hematology Medical Oncology Physician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Oncologist to join our team at the Vernon Clinic, located at Vernon Jubilee Hospital. As a Medical Oncologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, participating in clinical, educational, and research activities, and working collaboratively with a well-established team of medical professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with cancer, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care
  • Participate in clinical trials and research studies to advance the field of medical oncology
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Contribute to the education and training of medical students and residents
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in medical oncology through ongoing education and professional development

Requirements:

  • Fellowship standing in the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine, along with a certificate of Special Competence in Medical Oncology
  • Eligibility for appointment to medical staff of BC Cancer, and Vernon Jubilee Hospital
  • Eligibility for a clinical appointment to the University of British Columbia, Division of Medical Oncology in the Department of Medicine
