We are seeking a specialist in hematology or oncology with a focus on lymphoma and myeloma treatment. The ideal candidate will be an integral part of a collaborative healthcare team dedicated to excellence and will engage in clinical, research, administrative, and educational initiatives.
Candidates should have or be pursuing Fellowship standing in the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine, along with a certificate of Special Competence in Medical Oncology or Hematology, specifically with expertise in lymphoma/myeloma. Eligibility for licensing with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia and meeting the credentialing requirements of the Professional Advisory Committee is essential. Additionally, candidates should qualify for a clinical appointment in the Division of Medical Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia. A valid license to practice medicine in Canada is a prerequisite for application.
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- A commitment to fostering meaningful reconciliation in Canada as outlined by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act.
- An understanding of the social, economic, political, and historical contexts affecting Indigenous communities, along with familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism initiatives.
