We are seeking a specialist in hematology or oncology with a focus on lymphoma and myeloma treatment. The ideal candidate will be an integral part of a collaborative healthcare team dedicated to excellence and will engage in clinical, research, administrative, and educational initiatives.

Candidates should have or be pursuing Fellowship standing in the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine, along with a certificate of Special Competence in Medical Oncology or Hematology, specifically with expertise in lymphoma/myeloma. Eligibility for licensing with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia and meeting the credentialing requirements of the Professional Advisory Committee is essential. Additionally, candidates should qualify for a clinical appointment in the Division of Medical Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia. A valid license to practice medicine in Canada is a prerequisite for application.

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  1. A commitment to fostering meaningful reconciliation in Canada as outlined by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act.
  2. An understanding of the social, economic, political, and historical contexts affecting Indigenous communities, along with familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism initiatives.
