Research Assistant Specialist

About the Position
This part-time contractual position, Research & Technical Assistant II, is based in Ontario and focuses on research related to mental health and wellness within the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS).
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting research initiatives by collecting and analyzing data.
- Assisting with the creation of reports, articles, and other knowledge mobilization materials.
- Conducting one-on-one interviews with participants, discussing topics related to trauma and mental health.
Requirements
- An undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline, such as psychology, sociology, or public health.
- Familiarity with research areas, including DRPS.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Experience with NVivo software.
Working Conditions
The successful candidate will work independently, meeting assigned deadlines, and demonstrating sound judgment and critical thinking.
Compensation Package
$48,842 to $63,431 per annum. Preference will be given to applicants who are legally entitled to work in Canada.
