The Opportunity

Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Director, Information Technology will be a member of the AFG senior leadership team, accountable for overseeing the use of Information Technology in our company. This role will be responsible for the company's IT strategy and ensuring that all systems to support operations and objectives are in place.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technology vision and leadership for the IT Department
  • Develop strategic plans that utilize information technology and align with the goals of the business
  • Assess all areas of IT services and skill regarding outsourcing versus in-house delivery
  • Plan the implementation of new and existing systems and provide guidance to IT professionals and other staff within the organization
  • Approve purchases of technological equipment and software and establish partnerships with IT providers
  • Oversee the technological infrastructure (network and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance
  • Develop and administer best practices for master data management
  • Lead and direct IT related projects
  • Analyze the cost, value, and risks of information technology to advise management and recommend actions
  • Lead and develop IT personnel to ensure the needs to the business are met
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related discipline
  • 10+ years progressively senior experience in IT Leadership
  • Experience in designing/developing IT systems and implementation
  • Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting, and business operations
  • Strong interpersonal and project management skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
