About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Structural Engineering Graduate to join our team at Dillon Consulting. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for assisting in the design and project coordination of various structural systems, including bridges, culverts, and retaining wall structures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design of new structural systems, including bridges, culverts, and retaining wall structures, under the guidance of professional engineers.
  • Conduct condition assessments of various structures and structural components, and prepare technical reports and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, including structural, transportation, and municipal engineers, architects, electrical & mechanical engineers, transportation systems planners, land use planners, environmental scientists, and technical support staff.
  • Assist with business development activities, including preparation of proposals, reports, and presentations.
  • Business travel to other Dillon offices may be required.

Qualifications

  • A degree in civil engineering with technical electives in structural engineering topics.
  • Eligible for registration with the PEO.
  • Co-op or early career experience in structural engineering will be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of relevant structural engineering codes and standards.
  • Familiarity with structural analysis and design software, such as STAAD or PCA software, as well as proficiency in current AutoCAD, Revit, Brian, and building systems software.
