Electrical Superintendent Job Description

Ganotec is a leading heavy industrial contractor serving the industrial sector across Canada. As an Electrical Superintendent, you will play a key role in our projects in Quebec, Canada, based in Montreal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mentor and help grow Jr. Electrical Supervisors, Review and approve the balance of Foremen, journeymen, and laborer's composite labor rates
  • Manage contract administration, including subcontractor/field management meetings for communication
  • Develop a program to maintain good client relations involving staff on site
  • Initiate and attend supplementary and regular meetings with clients for problem resolution and planning
  • Develop and implement a plan for project completion and turnover
  • Ensure timely completion of performance evaluations for direct reports
  • Recommend organizational, policy, and procedural changes as needed
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of construction experience, with 8+ years in an Electrical Superintendent/Leadership capacity (preferably on infrastructure, industrial, or hydroelectric projects)
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand various processes regarding Kiewit's policies, procedures, and software programs
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong experience in leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administration
  • Functional knowledge of English (written and verbal) is considered an asset for mobility across provinces in Canada
