Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Cargo Specialist to join our team at Livebunkers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine surveying and be able to perform inspections, issue reports, and communicate with clients.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and quantity of materials being transported, adhering to industry regulations and customer standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct thorough inspections of cargo holds to ensure they are dry and clean for loading designated cargo.
  2. Prepare and issue hold inspection reports detailing inspected holds, time, date, and any necessary notes.
  3. Coordinate with terminal, agent, and company personnel to facilitate smooth execution of duties assigned.
  4. Perform draft surveys of bulk cargo carriers.
  5. Verify equipment calibration, verification, and function checks.
  6. Assess the condition of bulk cargo vessels and document on-hire conditions surveys.
  7. Perform bunker quantity surveys and full bunkering surveys according to client procedures.
  8. Communicate results and make entries into relevant media ensuring information validity and traceability.
  9. Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • A certified Master Mariner qualification.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights without fear or hesitation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a positive attitude.

Salary Range:

$80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
