Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Disability Case Manager to join our team at Canada Life. As a Disability Case Manager, you will be responsible for proactively managing assigned disability claims by evaluating medical information and job duties, developing case management and return to employment plans during periods of disability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate medical information and job duties to determine the length of disability
  • Develop case management and return to employment plans
  • Conduct medical investigations and negotiate with employers
  • Implement return-to-work programs and evaluate health care coordination programs
  • Respond to telephone inquiries from applicants, physicians, and lawyers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Disability Management, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • Experience in disability insurance, life and health insurance, or human resources
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and prioritize tasks
