The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Claims Specialist to join our team at Zurich Canada. As a key member of our claims management team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our clients while ensuring timely and cost-effective resolution of complex liability claims.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough investigations and assessments of liability and coverage applicable to each loss
  • Develop and implement effective case strategies to achieve optimal claims outcomes
  • Negotiate settlements and manage litigation, including providing directions to counsel and attending judicial settlement conferences
  • Establish and review reserves, ensuring accurate estimation and validation of claim values
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes, applying knowledge to inform claims decisions
Requirements
  • Quebec Claims Adjuster license (Commercial lines)
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Claims or Insurance area
  • Business writing and presentation skills in both French and English
  • Proficiency with Office 365 productivity tools and apps
