Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced educator to lead our K-12 education portfolio in support of Science World's mission. This role will ensure Science World is a trusted resource and catalyst for quality science learning in BC.

The Educator Programs Manager will work collaboratively across the organization to support Science World in delivering programming and scaling STEAM literacy in schools across the province. This includes developing and implementing professional development programs for BC K-12 teachers, leading and coordinating the delivery of these programs, and creating resources for teachers around multidisciplinary learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement professional development programs for BC K-12 teachers
  • Lead and coordinate the delivery of professional development programs
  • Create resources for teachers around multidisciplinary learning
  • Act as a resource to Experiential Learning team members
  • Collaborate in the preparation and execution of an annual plan
  • Present and participate at key conferences and professional association meetings
  • Document and evaluate professional development programming

Qualifications:

  • Certified teacher with a minimum of 2 years classroom experience
  • Experience with innovative science teaching methods
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and team work skills

What We Offer:
