**Job Summary:**

Penske Truck Leasing/Transportation Solutions is seeking a skilled Diesel Truck Mechanic II to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our vehicles.

**About the Job:

This position requires a high level of mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on our fleet of trucks, using industry-leading technology and tools.

**Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other components
• Conduct safety inspections and perform preventative maintenance on vehicles
• Collaborate with colleagues to resolve technical issues and improve workflow efficiency
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance technical skills and stay up-to-date with industry advancements

**Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in heavy-duty truck maintenance or a related field
• Valid driver's license (class G or class 5) and ability to obtain class DZ within 6 months of hiring
• Proficiency in the use of shop tools and equipment, including diagnostic software and handheld computers
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a customer-centric approach
• Willingness to travel to customers' yards and participate in training sessions as needed
