About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Truck Mechanic III to join our team at Penske Truck Leasing. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our fleet of vehicles.

With a strong background in tractor trailer maintenance, you will have the opportunity to specialize in the repair and troubleshooting of major components such as engines, transmissions, and differentials. Your expertise will be essential in diagnosing and resolving complex issues, ensuring that our vehicles are road-ready and meet the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotations.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, working with minimal supervision when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including documentation of repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless workflow and efficient use of resources.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years of practical experience in tractor trailer maintenance.
  • A strong understanding of diesel engine technology and related systems.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on safety and quality.
