About the Role

Hytec a Kohler Company is seeking an experienced Payroll Operations Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate and efficient payroll processes, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Job Description

This is a permanent full-time opportunity that offers a competitive salary of $55,000 per year, based on industry standards in your location. The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in payroll operations, preferably in a similar industry. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Prepare statements of earnings for employees, including gross and net salaries, deductions, and benefits
  • Maintain and update financial data, using computerized systems
  • Perform clerical duties, such as filing and record-keeping
  • Evaluate work environments and procedures to prevent injuries or diseases
  • Maintain employee attendance and leave records, calculating pay and benefit entitlements
  • Compile statistics and reports, providing insights into payroll trends and performance
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certification or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software, including ADP and SAP
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail, with ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
