About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Compensation Specialist to join our team at Hytec, a Kohler Company. In this role, you will be responsible for managing payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in payroll and human resources, with a strong background in accounting software such as ADP and SAP. You will be responsible for calculating and preparing cheques for payroll, preparing statements of earnings, and maintaining financial data.
You will also be responsible for performing clerical duties, such as maintaining filing systems, and performing human resources-related duties, including personnel selection. Additionally, you will prepare and balance period-end reports, reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements, and complete documentations for administration of benefits.
In this role, you will work closely with the HR team to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. You will also be responsible for informing employees about payroll matters and benefit plans, and compiling statistics and reports.
To succeed in this role, you must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work under pressure with tight deadlines. You must also be accurate, organized, and reliable, with a strong attention to detail.
We offer a competitive salary range of $50,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including a dental plan, disability benefits, health care plan, paramedical services coverage, vision care benefits, and a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP). We also offer long-term care insurance, maternity and parental benefits, and free parking available.
