About the Opportunity:
The successful Server will be a key member of our team, providing exceptional hospitality to our guests and ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role requires a high level of technical competence in serving food and beverages, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive dining experience for all guests.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
- Accurately take orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system, following all recipes and menu guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to all health and safety standards.
- Participate in the celebration and entertainment experience of our guests, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Set up and break down dining rooms and service stations as required, ensuring all equipment and furniture are in good working order.
- Accurately collect payment from guests and provide change as required.
- Provide information to guests about menu items, daily specials, and other relevant information.
- Assist with routine cleaning and maintenance of dining areas, including equipment, preparation stations, and stock rooms.
- Be aware of vessel schedules, embarkment periods, and local attractions to provide guests with relevant information and recommendations.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of experience in a high-volume restaurant or similar environment preferred.
- Smart Serve certification required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems and technology.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods.
