Stonehenge delivers long-term, intensive residential treatment services to those whose addiction/concurrent presentations are complex. Many of our clients enter treatment directly from the Federal and Provincial correctional systems.

We are one of only two funded Therapeutic Communities in Ontario. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in working with a specialized approach to addiction treatment and recovery from substance use.

**Role Type**:

- Full Time (70 hours weekly, on a two week rotation which includes working every second weekend. Contract (Approx. 4 months)

**About the Role:
The Group Facilitator team supports clients attending our Residential Addiction treatment program though the facilitation of psychoeducational groups, including relapse prevention and life skills. This team of staff also provides support to our Let's Grow Together and Friends and Family program. Hours are scheduled from 12:30pm to 10:30pm which will include some/alternating weekend work as part of a two week rotation.

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of a College Diploma or University Degree relevant to mental health, addiction or Social Services
- Minimum one year of progressive experience in addictions or mental health; experience in concurrent disorders and trauma informed practice an asset
- Previous experience in residential treatment an asset
- Previous experience with justice-involved individuals an asset
- Food Handlers Certification an asset
- Lived experience related to addictions and/or mental health an asset
- Valid G Driver’s License for a minimum of 3 years (G2 or greater)
- Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record
- Reliable vehicle/own transportation - not on a bus route
- CSC Clearance conducted by PWGS Canada
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Standard First Aid/CPR Level C
- Mandatory on call duty, on a rotational basis (Full Time only)
- Must be able to attend work (travel to Residential Centres) within an hour of notification, when on call

**Role Overview**:
Psycho-Educational Programming
- Develop, and coordinate day time psycho-education groups, including;
- Let’s Grow Together
- Friends and Family
- Parenting
- Coping Skills
- Facilitate evening psycho-education groups including;
- Life skills
- Relapse Prevention
- Creative Coping
- Emotions Management
- Maintain and provide oversight of psycho educational content
- Develop a roster of appropriate community resources and guest speakers for educational seminars and workshops
- Establish and maintain inventory of program supplies
- Provide individual follow up after groups, when indicated

Residential Duties
- Provide mental health and crisis support
- Participate in supervision
- Provide peer mentorship and coaching to the team
- Conduct/inform staff briefing in between shifts
- Transport clients to appointments and other needs
- Provide light house keeping
- Participate in program and team meetings
- Provide medication to residents
- Complete resident documentation and other required documentation such as Electronic Log, program summary, and Incident Reports
- Conduct unplanned resident discharges
- Identify and mitigate client risks
- Collaborate with external partners
- Attend all mandatory training programs
- Rotate attendance at the weekly staff meeting
- Facilitate Crisis Intervention and supportive counseling/containment
- Make referrals to internal and/or external programs or services, as appropriate
- On a rotational basis, provide on-call services during evenings and weekends (Full Time only)
- Assist in planning and coordination of monthly Commencement ceremony in conjunction with Residential staff
