Sr. Project Managers at MPA Recruitment

Leading Construction Projects

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to join our team at MPA Recruitment. As a key member of our Building Operations team, you will lead large-scale construction and infrastructure projects across Canada, managing budgets ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $100 million.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management and Leadership

    Grow and maintain strong relationships with team members, trade partners, consultants, and clients to achieve project goals and vision.

  • Project Schedule Management

    Support your project management team to develop and drive the construction schedule, ensuring completion dates and milestones are met.

  • Problem-Solving and Innovation

    Put your problem-solving skills to work and recommend innovative methods to increase effectiveness and efficiency, ensuring project excellence and productivity.

  • Quality and Compliance

    Use your proactive approach to ensure compliance with our first-class Quality Program.

  • Trade Partner Selection and Coordination

    Utilize your experience in trade partner selection and coordination of their activities.

  • Financial Management

    Apply your financial management experience to plan, manage, and respect project budgets, costs, and associated purchasing.

  • Mentorship and Leadership

    Share your knowledge and be a role model through mentorship opportunities with project team members.

  • Communication and Risk Management

    Keep the lines of communication open regarding project status and updates and be an expert in risk management to ensure any associated project risk is minimized.

  • Project Reporting and Wrap-Up

    Celebrate project success and completion and be a key member of the project wrap-up process.

About You

  • 10+ years' experience in Project Management in the ICI construction industry
  • University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience
  • A proven track record of project leadership, success, and team collaboration
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills with the ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of client, project, and technical issues to bring the project to successful completion
  • Strong knowledge of construction and project methodologies, financial management, as well as building codes and associated legislation
  • Role model status for health and safety as well as quality
  • A passion to develop, maintain, and execute the project schedule
  • Good computer skills and previous experience with scheduling software
  • Knowledge of the market
