Job Title: Social Worker

At the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB), we are seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our team. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and evaluating social programs that promote the well-being of our communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement social programs that address the needs of our clients, including counseling, guidance, and support services.
  • Conduct assessments and analyses to identify the needs of our clients and develop strategies to address them.
  • Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to ensure that our programs are effective and meet the needs of our clients.
  • Provide coaching and training to clients and community members to promote their well-being and independence.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community members, organizations, and stakeholders to promote the success of our programs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Two years of experience in social work or a related field.
  • Fluency in English is required; fluency in Cree or French is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
