Social Services Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our team at the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB). As a key member of our social services team, you will be responsible for providing guidance, counseling, and support to individuals and families in our community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide design, guidance, and counseling services to clients in one or more social programs.
- Implement, analyze, and assess social programs to ensure their effectiveness and efficiency.
- Collaborate with community partners to develop and implement social programs that meet the needs of our clients.
- Provide education and training to clients and community members on social issues and Eenou/Eeyou Pimaatsiiun healing practices.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community members, organizations, and government agencies to ensure effective service delivery.
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work.
- Member in good standing of the Ordre professionnel des travailleurs sociaux et des thérapeutes conjugaux et familiaux du Québec (OTSTCFQ).
- Two (2) years of relevant experience in social work.
- Knowledge of Cree culture, social/health issues, and Eenou/Eeyou Pimaatsiiun healing practices and paradigms is an asset.
- Fluent in English; fluency in Cree or French is an asset.
