Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Social Services Coordinator to join our team at the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance, counseling, and implementation work in one or more social programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide design, guidance, and counseling services to clients;
  • Implement and analyze social programs;
  • Assess client needs and develop strategies to address them;
  • Communicate theoretical and practical knowledge to coaching and training clients;
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve program goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work;
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre professionnel des travailleurs sociaux et des thérapeutes conjugaux et familiaux du Québec (OTSTCFQ);
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience in social work;
  • Knowledge of Cree culture, social/health issues, and Eenou/Eeyou Pimaatsiiun healing practices and paradigms is an asset;
  • Fluent in English; fluency in Cree or French is an asset.

Working Conditions

  • This position includes psycho-social on-calls.
