We are seeking a highly skilled Research and Development Specialist to join our team at Baycrest. This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of clinical research protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Guidance: As a key member of our research team, you will provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members, ensuring they have the necessary support to conduct clinical trials effectively.
  • Clinical Assessments: You will conduct in-person assessments with study participants, including vital signs collection, physical activity monitoring, and cognitive evaluations.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Accurate and timely recording of participant data, adverse events, and other critical information will be essential for this role.
  • Regulatory Compliance: You will ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including GCP, Health Canada Part C Division 5, and IATA certifications.
Requirements:
  • Education: A postsecondary degree in a science or healthcare-related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Certifications: Clinical Research Professional (SOCRA, ACRP), GCP, Health Canada Part C Division 5, and IATA certifications are required.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of previous research or clinical trials experience, preferably with older adult clientele, is preferred.
  • Skillset: Excellent computer skills, ability to adapt to new technologies, and knowledge of Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act 1990 (FIPPA) requirements.

The salary range for this position is approximately $ $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a dynamic work environment.
