Job Overview

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is a leading mental health teaching hospital in Canada, renowned for its research excellence. Our goal is to provide patient-centered care and tailor treatment to each individual.

About the Role

We are seeking four full-time Research Assistant 2 specialists to support the Toronto Adolescent and Youth Cohort Study. This 5-year study aims to determine who is at highest risk of developing psychosis and the relationship between risk and functional outcomes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support coordination of recruitment and retention of study participants.
  • Assist with recruiting and screening study participants, obtaining informed consent, scheduling participant interviews, coordinating sample and data collection from participants.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), perform data entry, and maintain study documents and databases.
Requirements

To be successful, you will have at least three years of Community College experience with a background in health or social sciences, or equivalent. You must have experience working or volunteering in a child and youth-focused clinical research setting.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and ability to produce high-quality work.
  • Strong PC software skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working with Electronic Data Capture Systems such as REDCap.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Work Environment

This position requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively, work independently, and adapt to changing priorities. The role involves some evenings and weekend shifts and is primarily located at 80 Workman Way, with some travel between sites.

Compensation and Benefits
