We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at Chester Service Centre Limited. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial records and ensuring the accuracy of our financial statements.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit financial reports, including trial balances, general ledgers, and financial statements, to management and stakeholders.
- Payroll and Taxation: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, calculate fixed assets and depreciation, and prepare tax returns.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, providing recommendations to management.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and laws, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Education: College/CEGEP diploma in Accounting or related field.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Skills: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Office; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- On-the-Job Training: Opportunities for professional development and growth within the company.
- Work Environment: 35 hours per week, permanent position.
- Language: English.
