We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Clerk to join our team at Chester Service Centre Limited. As a Financial Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and reconciling accounts. You will also be required to prepare financial statements, post journal entries, and maintain general ledgers. Additionally, you will be responsible for calculating fixed assets and depreciation, and preparing tax returns. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices, and will be proficient in MS Excel and MS Word. Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate financial records and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Reconcile accounts and prepare financial statements
  • Post journal entries and maintain general ledgers
  • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation, and prepare tax returns
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP diploma in a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field
  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
