Business Development Manager Job Description

At Spark Power, we're seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our Specialized Field Services department. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for developing new business opportunities in assigned territories, collaborating closely with operations, marketing, and sales leadership to implement strategic marketing plans, and driving revenue growth.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute lead generation strategies to identify and pursue target markets and clients.
  • Collaborate with leadership to establish and maintain productive relationships with customers and prospects.
  • Support sales function initiatives by providing client relationship support and in-person sales calls to drive business growth.
  • Develop and execute business growth strategies in collaboration with the team.
  • Oversee contract negotiation processes in collaboration with operations and legal teams.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to inform business development decisions.
  • Support the development of marketing campaigns for new products and services.
  • Assist in developing evaluation processes to gain feedback from clients.

Requirements:


  • Expertise in business development, sales, or marketing within the electrical services market.
  • A thorough understanding of electrical power systems and associated equipment.
  • Strong background in business development with a working knowledge of power systems.
  • Experience understanding customer needs and business drivers, and using this knowledge to develop account plans and strategies.
  • Strong leadership abilities, entrepreneurial spirit, and a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize workload independently.
  • Effective communication skills, including verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.
  • Ability to cultivate new sales opportunities through competitive and market analysis.
  • Fostering and building strong working relationships.
  • Strategic planning and tactical implementation skills.
